Peak High Purity Nitrogen Generators (NG Series) use highly efficient Carbon Molecular Sieve adsorbent to produce a continuous supply of ultra high purity (UHP) nitrogen. As compressed air is fed across the molecular sieve bed, oxygen, moisture, hydrocarbons and other trace gases are trapped while the UHP nitrogen flows freely to the outlet port. Uninterrupted flow is assured due to the self-regenerating, maintenance free Carbon Molecular Sieve. All purities at 99.9995%. Maximum output pressure is 80psi. Outlet port is 1/4″. The Peak High Output Nitrogen Generators (NM Series) use hollow fiber membrane technology to efficiently separate nitrogen from other gases in air to produce a continuous high flow supply of high purity nitrogen for use in LC/MS systems using either APCi or ESi modes. The Peak Nitrogen Generators are easy to use, install in minutes, come with a built-in filtration system and with or without the built-in air compressor.

Nitrogen output up to 32 liters per minute with built-in oil-free air compressor (higher volumes are available but require external air sources). Maximum output pressure is 100psi. Outlet port is 1/4″. Pressure dew point is -70°C/-94°F.

Recommended and used with:
Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex, Finnigan/Thermoquest, LECO, Micromass, Waters, H-P/Agilent & Shimadzu LC/MS systems.

The PH Series Hydrogen Generators are the ideal alternative dangerous and expensive gas cylinders in your laboratory. The Peak Scientific Hydrogen Gas Generator Range is designed for completely safe operation and provides an uninterrupted supply of Hydrogen of 200, 300 or 600cc per minute.

Use the Peak Hydrogen Generator for your GC’s FID flame source, carrier gas, or your HALL detector’s reaction gas. All purities at 99.9995%. Adjustable delivery pressure 0 – 100psi. Outlet port is 1/8″. Pressure dew point is -70°C/-100°F.

ZERO-AIR GENERATORS – ZA SERIES More Information
The ZA Series Air Generators produce high purity zero air (CH4 < 0.1ppm) and produces gas equivalent to UHP zero air cylinders at a fraction of the cost. Outlet hydrocarbon concentration (as methane) is < 0.1ppm. Maximum inlet pressure is 125psi. Start-up time for minimum hydrocarbon levels is 30 minutes. Output flow rates of 1500cc/min up to 30,000cc/min. are available.

Peak Scientific High Purity Nitrogen systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and include a built-in air compressor. The NG Series Nitrogen Generators produce flow rates of between 250cc/min and 4L/min.

They utilize a “Pressure Swing Adsorption” (PSA) method to extract pure nitrogen from air. A highly efficient Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) is used to extract O2, moisture, hydrocarbons & other trace gases to produce a continuous supply of high purity nitrogen.

The Peak Nitrogen Generators use a unique single column system where the column is alternately pressurized and vented under a finely tuned timing cycle. This guarantees high purity better than similarly sized 2-column systems.

Installation of the generator is simple and given the straightforward operation of the instrument, maintenance minimal.

PEAK combined laboratory air and nitrogen generators (ANG systems) are also available with flow rates of between 250cc/min and 3L/min.

PURITY STATEMENT: The question of purity often comes up with the ‘NM’ Series high volume nitrogen generators. Peak Scientific Instruments generators are tested under strict ‘factory controlled conditions’ against which the specifications are published. Nitrogen purity is tested and recorded at the factory as part of the QC test but excluded from the specifications for the following reasons.

Many environmental factors can affect purity such as ambient temperature, barometric pressure, and altitude. In addition, nitrogen purity will also vary directly with the Output Pressure and Mass Flow requirements of the mass spectrometer. It is therefore very difficult to predict and guarantee the exact purity of delivered nitrogen everywhere around the world.

Some generator manufacturers do quote specifications for purity and have chosen to provide a table with conditions and caveats which make it equally difficult to work out what the real figure truly is.

The Peak ‘NM’ Series high volume nitrogen generators are specifically designed to satisfy the requirements of LC/MS/MS systems only and are approved and/or specified by many LC/MS/MS OEM manufacturers. In all the years of testing and collaboration with the MS instrument manufacturers, as well as thousands of satisfied users in over 70 countries, nitrogen purity has never been an issue that has affected MS performance or experimental results.

This is what is really important and testament to the fact that the nitrogen supplied by the ‘NM’ Nitrogen Generators will meet your LC/MS/MS needs

The PH Series Hydrogen Generators are the ideal alternative dangerous and expensive gas cylinders in your laboratory. The Peak Hydrogen Generators use a proprietary ion exchange membrane technology to produce hydrogen on demand. The reliability of the membrane is assured due to its industrial and military pedigree.

To produce the highest purity hydrogen that analytical labs require, the Peak Hydrogen Generators employ a platinum catalyst in the electrode area which recombines any stray oxygen before it can contaminate the hydrogen stream.

The generators require only distilled or de-mineralized water and electricity to operate, making these systems safe and easy to maintain. ZERO-AIR GENERATORS (ZA SERIES)

The ZA Series Zero Air Generators produce high purity zero air (CH4 < 0.1ppm) and produces gas equivalent to UHP zero air cylinders at a fraction of the cost. The Zero Air Generators are available with or without internal air compressor and as a 19″ rack version. Air from the incoming compressed air supply is heated to 400°C and passes through a platinum catalyst chamber. Free carbon and hydrogen atoms combine with oxygen in the air to form carbon dioxide and water. The air then passes through a cooling coil to reduce its temperature to a safe level and to the outlet for use.
